For all the sports enthusiasts out there who are looking for something to satisfy that yearn for an adrenaline rush, Livingston Manor and the Catskill Mountains are more than capable of accommodating.

Although many activities in the mountains are seasonal (you aren’t going skiing in June or hunting in December), fishing is a year round activity. That being said, Livingston Manor is world renowned for its fly fishing.

The Willowemoc and Beaverkill rivers are Livnigston Manor’s powerhouse duo for trout fishing and that’s not all! The Catskills are also home to many spring fed lakes and ponds that offer a plethora of different species of fish to hook including bass, crapies and northern pike, to  name a few. Even those who don’t know how to fly fish  can have a good time. The Catskill Mountains have a fly fishing center and museum , but most importantly, a fly fishing school, located on the banks of the Beaverkill River.
